anyway crits please!!!
had big problems with the last one, pls help!!!!
Hi Peter, have you tried starting with a looser approach to your sketch, maybe using a brush with no minimum diameter settings to establish balance, weight, proportion, rythm and composition etc? Then tightening it up with a fine hard round for example? I find drawing digitally can be real frustrating when you try starting with fine lines, it's hard to control the rythm. Notice her head sits lower than what you're showing, and if you draw a line through her shoulders they're tilted at a slight angle. I'd also be looking at the size of her hands in relation to her face as a guide when trying to establish the foreshortening. Hope that helps. I've earnt myself 'lazy prick' status, so I think it's preventing me from attaching pics?
Pointed out some stuff in this paintover thing. Seriously man if someone starts talking about methodology being the problem then its probably bs (no offence AlstonInk). Getting shapes in the right place is just a big game of "connect the dots", methods, etc. are all just personal taste
Also, forshortening isn't harder than any other view, it's all the same thing, just putting the right shape in the right place
thank you guys that was very helpful !!!
started Loomis studies and this came out - bad proportions again
* the values are experiment in autodesk sketchbook pro - in my opinion it worth only for sketching
