thanks for the tips guys, yeah the light source always has been my major problem, will try to fix that in feature with more planing and thinking
these studies are looking pretty good peter, keep going with them.
thanks Devin, will try to be more consistent , these didn't came out good but it's practice anyway
good to see you back to study again, but again like I told you you need to pay attention on basic proportion, it gives you solid foundation to build other stuffs on, without it muscle and designs are hard to put on, so try to work on skeleton a bit so you have more ideas what scale each part should be relatively
a lot of good studies, keep going Peter!
thanks guys,Herman you are right about the skeleton construction it's much more easier than my method
now I try to construct in that way.
Hey Peter, good to see more studies. I see you have a good sense of volume its the placment of anatomy and how it keeps its mass in different angles that you see to be having trouble with. I know its pretty dodgy how ive explained it but hopefully ive helped in some way
Adding to Moojuice, I think where yours break down peter is you aren't looking at the motion lines for the main body masses, so all the surface forms don't follow the general line of motion in the given body segment.
Also please attach reference, otherwise it's a bit harder for us to help critique.
thanks guys, sorry for the reffs
for now on will try to not forget them :P
fat lady's head is too small.
it looks like u have the same problem I do...haha instead of trying so hard on the face, just get the masses of the head to look right, the face isn't that important when doing figure drawing. Do separate portrait studies to work on faces.
also, on your skeletons, you're not leaving any room for the neck :s
