Hey man, Its looking good!
I 'd love to see you doing more of this stuff.
The only thing i can say is try a make a ground plan that the guy is standing on. The way you have done the bg here looks like hes floating somewhere.
Also I would definitely recommend that you don't watch movies when you are working. You need focus and you need to get into the "zone", that is when you do your best work. If you are constantly being interrupted by the flashing pictures you will find it very had to focus. That photoshop error is a good time to ditch the movies all together I say. -

Still trying to paint my witchdoctor, so I simplified the characters into blocks and trying to sort out colours :(

did a quick environment, how the hell do u indicate grass and small things? it looks bad as just blobs.

Here is my last attempt to paint this, however this turns out is gonna be it!
So i spent the greater part of today trying to mimic what i did in my block version above, i was getting confused by the lighting, so I decided i would start again and firstly just organize the moonlight, then once that is for the most part done i would go and add the green lightsource of the tentacles. This is my progress so far.. if anyone else is even here to read this.
