Yep, they show up Moski :). For me the top creature is a bit hard to read because you haven't contrast the shadow temperature from areas that are being hit by light enough - both are sitting around in the same hue space, which makes the forms harder to read as there is smaller contrast between the form planes.
Also make sure to remember do a value check desaturating the image - helps to see how it reads on a pure value scale. Here is just a quick paintover of what I mean.
