    Hey gang :D!

    Some new small additions to the site - thanks and comment links. You will now notice in the area where quote and edit are located, there is a "thanks" link, which gives the post a thank you. I've put that in to encourage critique and feedback, so if you find a post useful you can thank that person (and/or you can leave a comment ;) ) .

    Also, there are numbers next to each post, so you can directly link to one if needed (just click on the number and choose what type of link you need) .

    Thats about it, small additions, but should add a little more usability which I felt would be needed sooner or later.

    Cool! This sounds quite useful. ^__^' I wonder how I can manage to mess this up. *imagines self accidentally mislinking to posts all over the place* XD Maybe we'll need a "sorry" think too.

    Alright, a few more little things have been added!

    - Latest Posts section has been added to the sidebar, shows the last 5 topics that have been posted in. Do you think 5 is enough? Or should I change it to something bigger like 7?

    - Share This button has been added, which lets you share/send/bookmark the current page that you are viewing. This might help to spread DG around the internet (so help out by adding DG to which ever service you use).

    Due to the amount of posting that actually goes on, I'd say no, you don't need to make the Latest Posts section bigger.

    Yeah, that's true. I think it's slowing the site down a little, noticed that pages aren't loading as snappy as before :( (maybe it's my internet connection)

    edit: Upon further testing it seems to be the case, not sure if I should leave it or not

    Um, it does not appear to be working for me. I see where it says "Latest Posts" but it never says anything under it, even on the off chance there is a new post. How'd I manage that if it works for you guys?

    Hmm, what browser and os are you using star? It just fetches the RSS feed from the site, so there shouldn't be any incompatibilities.

    It should display something like this:
    Latest Posts:
    Epic Comic
    New Features!
    rayk's adventure book
    Random Youtube Hilarity
    A few finished pieces

    I'm using Safari. Everything else works fine though... I don't know why it wouldn't work. *will have to check on the computers at home*
    It would be really nice for it to show up like that.

    Okay, some new under the hood changes/fixes/updates (pick one :3).

    The forum has been converted to utf8, so it should display any non English characters with out problems (before it would give ??? in it's place). Because they were changes to back end, please report any issues/or if something is broken/not working.

    And the latest post thing is working on the family mac, so maybe I just need to update safari on my laptop...

    I'm pretty sure I do have the latest version though...
    Good news though! For no apparent reason it randomly started working! I didn't change anything, but I can see the latest posts now on my laptop. Go figure.

    Oh cool! It might have been because I fixed the database to use utf8. ?(???)

    Edit: Do you see a wsywig bar in the comment field? ( has B I U and etc to format text). I've been reading that mac safari sometimes has trouble with text formatters, but I don't have access to a mac to test that out.

    Yup! I've always had that bar and it seems to work just fine... although I usually just type the code in anyway. XD

    Haha tsu (???)? , indeed you can type Japanese (and probably know way more than me).

    Well that's good that everything is working fine :D I'll be adding/changing stuff as time goes on so I'll be sure to keep posting here about it. If you have any suggestions be sure to post them in the feedback section.

    Okay, few little updates - first one is the addition of a tag line: Imagesmith Community. Something I think we should have to define our website better. It's open for feedback and suggestions! The I put this one in is because it's a little different to what other art communities have. However, feel free to voice your thoughts :D.

    The other new addition in profile discussion list, which lists the members last 5 discussions they started (should come in handy as the forum grows). Enjoy!
