hey mate, very nice wips
on first one the composition looking very nice, maybe the character who is in the middleground could be in more dynamic pose something like holding his weapon like sniper, the woman looks great with these details I think you can work more on the lightening.the tablet pc drawing looks good enough for tablet pc drawing 
with more practice you will use to draw and paint on it look at salariman's works 
and at the end about the cats logo - it's wonderful mate I love it, my fav. is the mouse very nice characters would like to have it for my desktop wallpaper is it possible? :P amm this "usa rock" somehow doesn't fit like that is it tattoo or ?

thanks man good suggestion on that picture dude,i will do some adjustment later as I put too much attention on team chow haha, I need to draw more from life after the chow thing, about that mouse as Devin is from USA so I put that on, long time no update soI put some comic over here this time haha, each draft from left to right top to bottom and the final from right to left I mess up a bit about the western and Asian way to look at comic

nice comics man and the portrait practice looking good too,be more careful with the right values it's not big deal but the bust practice has some differences in the dark values

Herman, its good to see you have a few different styles! Really liking the comic, looks to be a perfect storyboard pitch for an animated nike ad
The colour studies, good as always and your getting alot closer to the darker values in your shadows. -
well recently moving to shanghai to work there so not much time to update the sketchbook, most of recent stuffs are from tablet pc through, I think I can use it to draw line but seems I can't color with it problem but I am still trying

I also find I can't do good painting on the tabletpc. It's not good for finished works.
This last figure has really low value contrast! You need moooooore contrast :P
here's a quick 5 minute PO.
It *looks* like you are using the multiply layer method I use for coloring. You can't use a neutral gray for this. It will kill the colors in your shadows. You need to have some more color in the multiply layer, and to go a bit darker. It will seem REALLY dark at first if you are working on white, but when you turn the color layer back on it won't seem so bad. the value should be 40%-60% black I think.for anyone who is interested how I did this http://www.devinplatts.com/temp/hermanpo.psd.zip they can look at the psd file. It is real quick and sloppy! ........but maybe someone can find it useful :S

i like how you are improving the compositions on the landscape studies!! who needs a good copy, when u can make it better + learn
I am sure you are going very fast on these studies, but don't forget about edge control, you lack a bit of focus with the hard/soft edges...it seems a little bit arbitrary.
